R.I.P. Philip Seymour Hoffman

I saw the post of Taiwanese celebrity, Vanness Wu’s FB post as below.

I couldn’t recognize the actor in one glance.
I am not good at names too. So I don’t recognize the name, Philip Seymour Hoffman, initially.

I saw the news earlier on on TV reporting on the death of the Hong Kong actor, Wu Ma 午马 who died at age 71.

I was thinking who was the man Vanness was posting about. He didn’t post about the HK actor but post on some Hollywood actor who I didn’t even know.

Then I saw the post of another Taiwanese celebrity, Wang LeeHom.

So I decided to google on “Philip Seymour Hoffman” and I was surprised to recognize him from the images.

I just watched him recently in the movie “Hunger Games 2” and my first reaction was: Has he completed the shooting of the Hunger Games 3 movie?

I watched many movies of his. He’s indeed was a good actor. He acted in many roles which of cos, I don’t like some of them.

Philip Seymour Hoffman died at age 46, suspected of drug overdose. Dying at such age is considered dying young. Many celebrities who died before 40 are normally drug related.

Aren’t their lives too busy to be involved in drug? Or is it too common for drug abuse in Hollywood that you are a nerd if you never try it before?
Pardon me for I am too blunt. I am just upset that many lives are destroyed by drug abuse, including Philip Seymour Hoffman. Not forgetting Bruce Lee and many others.

I don’t and would not understand why some people are addicted to drug.
But I’m glad to read that Philip Seymour Hoffman was honest about his drug abuse and even faced up to his addiction and went for rehabilitation.

However, some things are just too late to be saved. Guess his addiction got worse and resulted in his death. It’s a pity that such a good actor is gone.

R.I.P. Philip Seymour Hoffman. You will be remembered by many.
