Make Singapore World Water Day a fun day for family!

In 2014, World Water Day celebrations in Singapore will take place on Saturday, 15 March. Activities will be held island wide at 5 major water sites and partners’ sites such as offices and schools.

Be a Friend of Water, join in the activities or organise your own water-related activity to celebrate Singapore World Water Day this year!

Marina Barrage
Introduction to Sailing!
by Singapore Sailing Federation

Registration: Singapore Sailing Federation Booth at Marina Barrage (walk-ins welcome)
Duration: 10.00 – 11.30am
· Each session lasts 20 minutes
· Up to 3 participants per boat
· Suitable for 6 years and above
· Life vests and helmets (for kids) will be provided
· Come in comfortable clothes! Please note that your feet may get wet

Hip Hop workshop by The Roses
The Roses comprises of 4 feisty girls with a common passion for dancing. Besides winning numerous dance competitions, they had also performed at prestigious events such as Daniel Pearl World Music Days. Singapore Street Festival, Chingay 2014, concerts & television shows. Their most memorable milestone was the YOG 2010 when they were selected to represent Singapore in the ‘Journey of the Youth Olympic Flame’ showcase where they had exhilarating experiences performing in Berlin, Mexico and Korea.
Even though they love hip-hop, they have proven their versatility in doing traditional dances and currently they are integrating singing into their performances too.

Time: 7.30 am to 10.30 am


1. Outward Bound Singapore’s Jerry Can Challenge – a family-friendly fun race that teaches participants about water conservation and how to use a limited amount of water in a smart way! Organised by Outward Bound Singapore, this activity is an adaptation of their land expedition conducted on Pulau Ubin.

2. HDB’s Eco Learning Journey

The Eco Learning Journey is part of HDB’s initiative to introduce residents to eco-destinations in Singapore’s first Eco-Town, Punggol. Participants can look forward to embark on a guided tour through Singapore’s first eco-precinct, Treelodge@Punggol. UPDATE: All slots have been taken up. Registration for this event is now closed.

3. Discovery Trail

Go on the Trail to learn more about caring for the environment and conserving water! Interactive games and exhibitions make learning fun…and be rewarded with a good bag at the end of the Trail.

Please state which activity (1, 2, or 3) you wish to sign up for.
All participants of each activity will be entitled to a goody bag at the end of the activity!
