Review: CLIV Max Hyaluronic Supreme Gold Foil Mask

Daily Masking Review: CLIV Max Hyaluronic Supreme Gold Foil Mask

This is a moisturizing 2 step gold foil mask which supplies intensive moisture for dry skin.

Step 1: Hyaluronic acid ampoule
Apply synergy ampoule before gold foil mask. Plant moisture ingredient quickly and gently deliver moisture.

Step 2: Gold foil mask
Foil ampoule prevent loss for skin deep absorption. The mask gives even fit on skin for moisture care. It is a sheet gold foil, inner sheet regular sheet double fabric. Gold foil ampoule for delicate absorption, regular sheet to prevent ampoule loss.

Major Ingredients: Hyaluronic acid, eucalyptus leaf, gold, fermented rice, green tea callus culture extract

How to use:

  1. After toner place step 1 ampoule onto face.
  2. Pull out step 2 mask, face foil outward and upper mask and lower mask onto eye areas for fit.
  3. Remove mask after 10 minutes, pat excess essence for absorption.

Step 1 ampoule is a thick gel that has dual function of whitening and anti-wrinkle. It’s an ampoule for intensive moisturizing to sensitive skin that contains Camellia Sinensis Callus Culture Extract, Sodium Hyalurate and various plant based moisturizing ingredients.

I felt like a thick layer of gel covering my face before I place the mask on it.

Gold foil mask prevents active components from evaporating to maximize the efficacy.

I bought it at Korea Depart Beauty Haul at great price (US$5 for 5 masks) to try out as I have been seeing many foil masks recently. Gold is definitely good for the skin. However, I realized that the gold foil is only at one side and was to be placed facing outwards. The inner sheet was a thick sheet mask. But it did feel like the gold foil was preventing evaporation as the mask was still wet after 10 minutes. My face was still wet with the gel and mask essence. I massaged the remaining essence onto my face.

Mask is moisturizing and the effect lasted even after mask was removed. Skin felt smooth. However, I’m a lazy person to have a 2 step mask.

Price: US$6.30
Where to buy: Korea Depart
Rating: 3.5 out of 5
Repurchase: No as it is too expensive.
