Review: Innisfree Skin Clinic Mask – Madecassoside

Daily Mask Review: Innisfree Skin Clinic Mask – Madecassoside

I can’t help walking in Innisfree shop today to get the innisfree x Disney collection today. My bad. I cannot resist the temptation to get cute packaging. Just can’t help being attracted to the cute packaging and the freebies they are giving. In order to get 3 different designs of Disney cosmetic pouches (GWP of S$50 each), I need to top up S$7. So I ended up buying 3 different facial masks.

I bought this as the sales assistant strongly recommended it when I’m looking to buy soothing masks. My skin was kind of sensitive recently due to insufficient sleep and stress. Redness, roughness and pimples popping out.

This soothing mask supposed to provide good hydration according to her and I was told that it is many customers’ favourite.

I decided to give it a try.

As per packaging, this fine, delicate mask is enriched with madecassoside to refresh dehydrated skin while helping to protect the skin’s moisture barrier.

Never heard of “MADECASSOSIDE”? Me too. I went to google and found out that it is a smart, powerful and highly purified active and one of the most prominent molecules found in Centella Asiatica well-known for its beneficial properties for the skin. With its proven efficacy and defined mechanism of action, Madecassoside brings relief to sensitive or atopic & psiorias prone skin thanks to anti-itching, anti-redness, anti-desquamation and smoothing effect.

Wow! Sounds extremely good! I hope it works extremely well too.

The mask came with a plastic film which the cheaper version of innisfree it’s real squeeze mask does not have. However, I’m on my journey to zero waste (though the day may not come but I’m trying), hence any additional plastic used made me even guiltier. In the first place, I should not have bought disposable facial mask. (Just can’t help topping up to get my free gift and I can also continue my facial mask review too. )

The quality of this skin clinic mask is better than the cheaper version one from innisfree. This particular mask is indeed soothing and hydrating on my skin. Perhaps the ones I had been using recently were the expired ones and cannot achieve the original intended results. Hence, this mask seems much better than those I had used recently.

The redness of my skin lightens after I removed the mask. I can also feel my skin more hydrated.

Overall, it’s affordable to achieve its intended results.
